Le scellant étanche coupe-feu 3MMC est un coupe-feu en silicone élastomérique autolissant prêt à utiliser, à un composant et neutre qui sert également de barrière aux fuites d'eau et à la transmission des bruits aériens.Le scellant étanche coupe-feu 3MMC est idéal pour les applications horizontales. Lorsqu'il est installé correctement, le produit assure jusqu'à 3 heures de protection contre la propagation du feu, de la fumée et des gaz nocifs dans les systèmes éprouvés et homologués. Ce scellant est conforme aux exigences de l'essai d'étanchéité à l'eau de UL, cote W, classe 1 pour les systèmes éprouvés et homologués conformément aux normes ANSI/UL 1479 et CAN/ULC S115, il minimise le transfert du bruit (cote STC de 56 lorsque testé dans un mur coté STC 56) et fait office de coupe-fumée pour les installations exigeant la cote L optionnelle. Il est également conforme à l'esprit des réglementations environnementales sur les COV du programme de crédits pour bâtiments écologiques LEEDMD et conforme aux exigences du Code international du bâtiment (CIB) et des autres principaux codes du bâtiment en matière de sécurité des personnes.

Once applied, 3M™ Fire Barrier Water Tight Sealant 1003 SL is re-enterable, repairable and exhibits excellent weathering during construction which cuts down on time and rework.
