The Cleveland Plug Chamfer General Purpose Hand Tap, Style #1002 (Item #C55028), is a high-speed steel (HSS) tap designed for cutting UNC threads with a 1-3/8"-6 UNC size. This hand tap has a diameter of 1.3750" (34.93mm) and an overall length of 6.0625" (153.99mm), with a thread length of 3.0000" (76.20mm). It features a plug chamfer, ideal for tapping blind holes or deeper threads. The tap has a thread tolerance of 2B and a tap limit of H4.

Made for general-purpose use, this hand tap has a straight flute design, offering smooth cutting action. It is equipped with four flutes and a right-hand cut. The tap is intended for use in a variety of materials, including cast iron (K), stainless steel (M), non-ferrous metals like aluminum (N), and steel (P). It does not have a spiral point, making it suitable for hand tapping applications.
