The Norton® 57A Alundum® Type 1 Straight Grinding Wheel is designed for aggressive material removal on a variety of tough materials including 300/400 series stainless, tool steels, titanium, superalloys, aluminum, brass, bronze, copper, and cast iron. With a coarse 36/46 grit and vitrified bond, it offers high durability and consistent performance. The wheel has a 12-inch diameter, 2-inch thickness, and a 1-1/2-inch center hole size. The brown-colored wheel operates at a maximum speed of 2070 RPM, making it ideal for heavy-duty grinding applications. Part of the Norton Saint-Gobain product line, this wheel is an excellent choice for precision grinding in industrial settings.
