This Norton 32A Type 1 Straight Toolroom Wheel is designed for precision production, offering medium to heavy stock removal. It features exceedingly strong, sharp monocrystalline aluminum oxide grain that delivers a fast, cool cutting action with minimal dressing required. The vitrified bond is ideal for use with CNC cutting tool machines, cylindrical, and surface grinding applications. This wheel is particularly well-suited for grinding tool steels, including tough vanadium alloy steels, with moderate to heavy feed rates. With exceptional form holding, it ensures consistent results. The wheel is purple in color and has a 7-inch diameter, 3/4-inch thickness, and a 1-1/4-inch center hole. Its grit is 60, providing a medium finish suitable for a variety of materials including 400 series stainless, carbon steels, aluminum, and cast iron. The wheel has a hardness rating of I and can operate at a maximum speed of 3600 rpm, making it highly efficient for demanding grinding tasks.
