The Cleveland Bottoming Chamfer General Purpose Hand Tap, Style #1003 (Item #C54996), is designed for cutting UNC threads with a 1-1/4"-7 UNC size. Constructed from high-speed steel (HSS), this tap features a bottoming chamfer, which is ideal for creating threads up to the bottom of blind holes. The tool has a diameter of 1.2500" (31.75mm) and an overall length of 5.7500" (146.05mm). It has a thread length of 2.5600" (65.02mm) and a thread tolerance of 2B, with a tap limit of H4. The tap is made with straight flute design and is equipped with four flutes, providing efficiency in cutting.

This hand tap is suitable for cutting threads in a variety of materials, including cast iron (K), stainless steel (M), non-ferrous materials such as aluminum (N), and steel (P). It does not have a spiral point, making it ideal for hand tapping operations.
