The Cleveland Taper, Plug, and Bottoming Hand Tap Set, model 1004/900, is crafted for creating precise UNF (Unified National Fine) threads in sizes of 3/8"-24. Made from durable high-speed steel (HSS) with a bright finish, this set is ideal for a variety of threading tasks requiring a fine thread profile.
The taps feature a straight flute design and are constructed for standard hand-tapping operations. With a thread length of 1.2500" (31.75mm) and an overall length of 2.9400" (74.68mm), these taps offer reliable performance for various tapping depths. The taper-plug-bottoming chamfer provides versatility for starting, intermediate, and finishing threading applications.
The set includes three taps securely housed in a Rose Plastic® UniBox case for safe storage and easy transportation. The taps have a shank size of 0.3810" (9.68mm) and a square shank end configuration, ensuring secure tool engagement during operation. Featuring a right-hand cut, these taps are designed to meet the requirements of most general threading projects.
