The Makita BL1830B is an 18V (3.0 Ah) Lithium-Ion battery designed to provide reliable power for your Makita tools. Part of the advanced 18V Li-Ion Battery Platform, this battery features an LED charge level indicator, allowing you to easily monitor the approximate remaining power. The Battery Protection System ensures over-discharge, temperature, and current protection, enhancing performance and prolonging battery life when used with STAR marked tools. Compared to traditional Ni-Cad and Ni-MH batteries, the BL1830B offers extended run time and more cycles over its lifespan. The Optimum Charging System utilizes three active controls (current, voltage, and temperature) to maximize battery life, while the built-in memory chip communicates with the charger CPU to optimize the charging process based on each battery’s unique conditions.
