This 5-inch flap disc features alternating aluminum oxide (green) and zirconia alumina (blue) flaps, offering a strong balance between performance and cost. The disc is designed for light-to-moderate applications, making it ideal for blending and finishing flat surfaces. Its flexible plastic backing plate, along with a new resin system and Y-weight polyester flaps, ensures superior base adhesion and provides a 30%+ improvement in lifespan compared to traditional aluminum oxide flap discs. With a maximum RPM of 12,000, the Type 27 flap disc is equipped with a 7/8-inch non-threaded arbor for versatile mounting and delivers efficient cutting performance.
